BBC reviewed some data from Cancer Research UK. The key take aways were that deaths due to prostate cancer are steadily raising even as deaths to breast cancer have been falling.

Included in the article is the story of Gary Petit who discovered that his PSA was high after having a health assessment. Within weeks, he had a 7 hour operation at the Royal Marsden to remove the cancer.

We are proud of the fact that we include a PSA test in most of our health screens. It is important to note that the PSA test is not an infallible guide – men’s PSA levels are different. What is a strong indicator is the PSA level changing significantly. We strongly believe that all men should have their PSA levels checked regularly.
